As an Accounting Assistant, you will work closely with the Accounting team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of financial operations. Your main responsibilities will include processing and recording transactions, preparing financial reports and budgets, and handling communications with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
  • Field communications with clients and vendors, addressing any inquiries or issues that arise
  • Conduct reconciliations of financial data and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist with the preparation of tax documents and supporting schedules
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems for financial records and documents
  • Provide administrative support to the Accounting department as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar role
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, but not required
